Easter – April 4, 2010

I stayed the night at Granny Annie's. When I got home there was an Easter basket waiting for me. I got candy, toys a new dress and new sandals. At first I did not like my dress and I definitely did not like my sandals! I changed into my green dress, which I call my “Tinker Bell” dress. We were having an Easter brunch party! Nana, Grandpa Dennis, Uncle Gregg, Aunt Lisa, Katelyn, Uncle Perry, Aunt Jan, Anne and Roland came over. I got several more dresses for Easter that I didn’t really like at first. We ate yummy food and I got to do another egg hunt! After my nap everyone had left, but then Grandma Bev and Papa Wayne came over. I got another dress too! Later that night I had a fashion show for everyone. I ended up liking all the dresses I got and decided right away which one I was wearing for school the next day. I still did not like my new sandals though. Good thing the Easter Bunny gave mommy the receipt so we can take them back. :)

The Big Hunt! - April 3, 2010

On Saturday the church around the corner from us put on a big Easter egg hunt at the school in our neighborhood. I was in the 3-5 age group this year. I was the first one to run out and get the eggs. I was very selective about my eggs and only picked up the ones I really wanted. I still got a bunch of eggs though. Afterwards we opened all the eggs and got the candy out. Then we ate hot dogs for lunch. I also got to get my face painted like a cat. After my nap, Granny Annie picked me up. We played and made cookies. I got to spend the night over there too.

Dying Easter Eggs – April 2, 2010

On Friday my class had an Easter party. We had cookies and donuts and then had a big Easter Egg hunt! My mommy came to the party too. It was fun and I got lots of candy. After the party I went home and dyed eggs with Daddy and Mommy! I liked to drop them in so hard that the egg would crack. I don’t think Mommy liked that, but it was funny!!

1st Soccer Game

Saturday March 27th was my first soccer game. I really like my uniform! We got to the game and I warmed up. The game was 30 minutes long. I got to kick the ball a couple times, but after about 10-15 minutes I wasn’t really interested in the game anymore. I didn’t like running in the heard of kids after the ball. I spent the end of the game picking flowers out of the grass. Once the game was over, we all got drinks and snacks! That was my favorite part. Grandma Bev, Papa Wayne and Granny Annie all came to watch me! Later that day we went over to Aunt Jan and Uncle Perry’s house for a BBQ. I got to meet lots of cousins. I was fun playing with them!

At my next soccer practice I was much more comfortable in running with everyone after the ball. Maybe the next game will be better!!

Soccer!

Yesterday I went to my first soccer practice. I was ready to go with my new pink and black soccer shoes, shin guards and soccer ball!! I am the only girl on the team. So far I don’t mind though. I can keep up with those boys! First we did warm ups by kicking the ball down the field. Then we did some drills with the coaches. We played a game called Shark (which we really didn’t understand, but it was still fun). Then we practiced kicking the ball into the goal. I need to work on kicking the ball a little straighter. My Daddy said he would work with me. Then we ran some more. At the end of practice we got to choose a team name. We each were asked what we wanted. I chose Lightening McQueen (from Disney’s “Cars”) along with another boy. Then the other kids wanted Lightening McQueen too!! It was decided that our team name is “The Lightening”! I like it. I can’t wait until the next practice.

GREER, AZ - 2010

Hi Everyone!! Last weekend was our annual trip to Greer, AZ to go play in the snow!! We left for Greer on Thursday (2/11). There was sooooo much snow in Greer. The snow banks on the sides where 5 feet tall. Mommy and Daddy said they haven’t seen that much snow in Greer in a really long time! The first day out in the snow wasn’t too much fun. My boots kept falling off so my feet where all wet. The next day though Daddy and Papa put big socks on me and then tied my boots around my ankles. My boots never came off after that and I had so much fun playing in the snow.

Our Cabin buried in snow

On Friday, Mommy and Daddy went to Sunrise Ski Resort and went skiing. They said the skiing was really good. Papa went skiing too, but only went down a couple runs and then came home. I think he just wanted to play with me instead!! I spent the day playing with Grandma. We made a birthday cake for Papa’s birthday. We had lots of fun. That night Uncle Eric and Aunt Amy came up to the cabin too.

On Saturday we all went sledding at the big sled hill. Then we came back to the cabin and Mommy and I built a snowman. She had piggy tails (Aunt Amy’s idea) and I named her Frosty. We gave her one of Mommy’s hats. About 5 minutes later though I asked Mommy why Frosty wasn’t walking around. Frosty was suppose to come to life when we put the hat on. I guess this was not the real Frosty. After that Mommy, Uncle Eric and I made a Snow Castle with my bucket. It was so cool. When it was all done I got to knock it down.

On Sunday we had to go home. But Mommy and I played in the snow all morning. We went sledding again, made snow angles and ate snow. Greer was so much fun this year. Usually Aunt Natalie and Uncle Donnie come with their families, but they couldn’t make it this time. They were missed. I can’t wait to go play in the snow again.
THANKS PAPA WAYNE AND GRANDMA BEV FOR MAKING THIS THE BEST TRIP EVER!!! I LOVE YOU BOTH!

Puppet Theatre

Last Sunday Mommy and I went to go see a puppet show. We went and saw Cinderella at The Great Arizona Puppet Theatre. We went with Mommy’s friend Lourdes and her Daughter Gracie. All the little girls were dressed in their princess dresses. I decided to wear my purple and silver fairy dress. I also decided that I had to wear my orange and green striped leggings with it too! I looked sooooo good….just like a fairy princess! Most of the kids sat on a big carpet area to watch the show, but I only stayed there for 5 minutes. Then I decided I would rather sit on Mommy’s lap for the show. She didn’t mind though and I still had a great seat! The puppet show was so much fun and I sat and watched the whole thing. After the show all the kids went out and did crafts. I made a puppet and a crown. Then we all went back into the theatre for a Ball! I didn’t like the Ball though. It was too dark and there were too many people around and I didn’t want to dance. So I told Mommy that I wanted to leave so we did. I can’t wait to go see another puppet show!
