GREER, AZ - 2010

Hi Everyone!! Last weekend was our annual trip to Greer, AZ to go play in the snow!! We left for Greer on Thursday (2/11). There was sooooo much snow in Greer. The snow banks on the sides where 5 feet tall. Mommy and Daddy said they haven’t seen that much snow in Greer in a really long time! The first day out in the snow wasn’t too much fun. My boots kept falling off so my feet where all wet. The next day though Daddy and Papa put big socks on me and then tied my boots around my ankles. My boots never came off after that and I had so much fun playing in the snow.

Our Cabin buried in snow

On Friday, Mommy and Daddy went to Sunrise Ski Resort and went skiing. They said the skiing was really good. Papa went skiing too, but only went down a couple runs and then came home. I think he just wanted to play with me instead!! I spent the day playing with Grandma. We made a birthday cake for Papa’s birthday. We had lots of fun. That night Uncle Eric and Aunt Amy came up to the cabin too.

On Saturday we all went sledding at the big sled hill. Then we came back to the cabin and Mommy and I built a snowman. She had piggy tails (Aunt Amy’s idea) and I named her Frosty. We gave her one of Mommy’s hats. About 5 minutes later though I asked Mommy why Frosty wasn’t walking around. Frosty was suppose to come to life when we put the hat on. I guess this was not the real Frosty. After that Mommy, Uncle Eric and I made a Snow Castle with my bucket. It was so cool. When it was all done I got to knock it down.

On Sunday we had to go home. But Mommy and I played in the snow all morning. We went sledding again, made snow angles and ate snow. Greer was so much fun this year. Usually Aunt Natalie and Uncle Donnie come with their families, but they couldn’t make it this time. They were missed. I can’t wait to go play in the snow again.
THANKS PAPA WAYNE AND GRANDMA BEV FOR MAKING THIS THE BEST TRIP EVER!!! I LOVE YOU BOTH!

Puppet Theatre

Last Sunday Mommy and I went to go see a puppet show. We went and saw Cinderella at The Great Arizona Puppet Theatre. We went with Mommy’s friend Lourdes and her Daughter Gracie. All the little girls were dressed in their princess dresses. I decided to wear my purple and silver fairy dress. I also decided that I had to wear my orange and green striped leggings with it too! I looked sooooo good….just like a fairy princess! Most of the kids sat on a big carpet area to watch the show, but I only stayed there for 5 minutes. Then I decided I would rather sit on Mommy’s lap for the show. She didn’t mind though and I still had a great seat! The puppet show was so much fun and I sat and watched the whole thing. After the show all the kids went out and did crafts. I made a puppet and a crown. Then we all went back into the theatre for a Ball! I didn’t like the Ball though. It was too dark and there were too many people around and I didn’t want to dance. So I told Mommy that I wanted to leave so we did. I can’t wait to go see another puppet show!

Disney On Ice!

Last Thursday I got to go to Disney on Ice!! I went with Mommy, Daddy and Granny Annie. Mommy had won tickets through a radio station a few months ago. I got all dressed up in my Snow White dress. There were a ton of other little girls like me dressed up too. We went early to look at Princess dresses on display. Then we got to see Cinderella and the new Disney Princess, Tiana, from the “Princess and the Frog”. Then Mommy got me popcorn and we went to our seats. The first half of the show was stories about “Cars”, “The Little Mermaid” and “The Lion King”. I got a little fussy at intermission because I was getting tired, but then I was okay because the whole second half of the show was about Tinker Bell! I love Tinker Bell. Disney on Ice was so much fun!!

Happy 2010!! I am a little late with my postings. Christmas was sooooo much fun this year. Grandma Bev, Papa Wayne and Uncle Max all spent the night on Christmas Eve. Grandma made yummy soup and then we went and looked at Christmas lights. Grandma and Papa read me the Christmas story out of the Bible and then we read the “Twas the Night before Christmas”.

I woke up at 5:30am. When I went downstairs I knew that Santa had come! There was a huge Doll House by the tree and next to it was a stuffed puppy dog (Pluto). I immediately went to get the puppy since that is what I had been asking Santa for all month long. Once Aunt Amy and Uncle Eric came over we started to open presents! I got lots of good stuff which consisted of Dolls, Play-Doh, Books, Movies and Clothes. I loved everything. Later that morning we went over to Nana’s house and ate brunch and opened more presents. Then that afternoon we went over to Grandma Kathy’s and Papa Maury’s house for dinner and more presents. I also got to play with my cousins Katie and Emily. I loved playing with Emily’s American Girl dolls.
Christmas was so much fun!! I love everything I got. I am such a lucky little girl that there are so many people out there that love me so much!!
For New Years we just stayed in. I got to rent “The Little Mermaid: Return to the Sea”. I love that movie. Hope everyone has a great year!! Bye Bye!!

The Princess and the Frog

On Saturday Mommy and Daddy took me to go see the Princess and the Frog. I did pretty good. We went to the 9:30am movie so there was hardly anyone in the theatre. I sat through about the first 40 minutes and then got bored. Mommy took me to the bathroom and then Daddy took me for a walk. Then I came back and watched the last 20 minutes or so. I just can’t sit still that long, but I really did like the movie!! Toy Story 3 is coming out in June so maybe by then I will sit though a movie a little better.

POLAR EXPRESS!!

On Thursday, December 17th, Mommy, Daddy and Granny took me on the Polar Express. We drove up to Williams, AZ (outside of Flagstaff) which was about a 3 hour drive. When we got there we ate dinner and looked around. There was snow everywhere!! Mommy and Daddy got me new pajamas to wear. All the kids that were going on the train had PJ’s on….even some of the Parents too!! We boarded the train and left the station for the North Pole at 6:30PM. The ride to the North Pole was about 30 minutes. They had waiters like in the movie and they passed out cookies and hot chocolate. I don’t like hot chocolate though. Then they read the story of the Polar Express to the whole train!! It was a really big train. When we were getting close to the North Pole they had us look out the windows. Then I saw it!! I saw Santa’s house and the Toy factory and Santa was even sitting out in his sleigh waiting for us. We didn’t get to get off the train, but Santa boarded the train!! He came to each child and gave them a silver sleigh bell!! I could hear it ring because “I believe”!! I was shy when Santa came over to me. I was excited to get my bell and gave him a high five though. Then on the way back we all sang Christmas carols!! We got back to the train station around 7:45pm. Then we drove home to Phoenix. I held and rang my bell the whole time!! I would fall asleep, but then would wake up and ring my bell to make sure I still had it in my hand. We made good time getting back! It was such a fun trip!! I can’t wait to go again next year!
